Sky: Children of the Light Daily & Weekly Reset Guide

Published August 2026

Every reset in Sky: Children of the Light runs on Sky time — America/Los_Angeles — and everything happens at 00:00 that clock, just spread across different days of the week. Sky Shard's homepage shows a live countdown to the next daily and weekly reset in your own local time, but here's what's actually behind each one.

What Resets and When

Day (Sky time)What resets
Every day, 00:00Daily Quests, daily Light/Wax collection, Treasure Candles realm rotation, Secret Area spirit
Sunday, 00:00Eye of Eden — statues reset, weekly Ascended Candle cap refreshes
Monday, 00:00Traveling Spirit departs; Harmony Hall featured sheet changes
Thursday, 00:00Next Traveling Spirit arrives
Friday, 00:00Nesting Workshop weekly furniture rotation, Dye Exchange Shop

Daily Quests Don't Carry Over

There are 4 Daily Quests, each worth one candle when turned in to the Quest Giver at Home. The catch: they have to actually be handed in before the daily reset — a quest you've completed but haven't turned in doesn't roll over into the next day, so it's worth clearing them out before you log off if you're close to reset.

Eye of Eden's Weekly Cap

Eye of Eden is the main weekly source of Ascended Candles, alongside red shard eruptions (see the shard eruption guide). Each of its statues can be lit once per week, and the total Ascended Candles you can earn from the run is capped — once you've hit the weekly cap, additional statues won't give you more until the Sunday reset. That cap is why serious Ascended Candle farming treats Eye of Eden as a once-a-week checklist item rather than something to grind repeatedly.

Why the Timing Actually Matters

Because Sky's clock is fixed to US Pacific time, players outside that timezone see their local reset time shift by an hour twice a year whenever US daylight saving starts or ends — even though nothing changes on Sky's end. If your daily reset suddenly seems to have moved, that's almost always a DST shift on the US side, not a bug. Sky Shard's timezone toggle lets you check both your local time and Sky time side by side if a reset time ever looks off.
